Brian Smith

Brian Smith (he/him) is a mature African American psychotherapist in training with a zest for life and a desire to help people experience their best life. Therapy with Brian is like fine dining ala carte, which means that no one therapeutic modality is correct for everyone. Therefore many methods are tailored to client needs to achieve collaborative, practical, realistic, and introspective goals. Brian has a particular interest in working with minority and marginalized people, couples, young adults, and those who are looking for therapy that substantially integrates their spiritual and cultural beliefs in the counseling process.

Adjunct Instructor, Corporate Trainer, IT Professional, Pilot, music lover, and amateur photographer are just a few of the eclectic and vast experiences for this therapist in training. In addition to his counseling skill sets, Brian holds a graduate degree from Moody Theological Seminary in Biblical Studies. He has spent considerable time studying other cultures and is versed in Christian and Jewish practices and beliefs. Brian also has a BA in Russian Language with specialty certificates in Russian and Eastern European Studies (History, Philosophy, Literature, and Culture) and Scientific and Technical Russian Translations.
